Introducing my 2nd studio album, "A Cruel and Beautiful World". I decided to work on this album a few weeks after the release of my previous EP, "Revelations". I wanted this album to have a big focus on melody and melodicism. While it's still focused on extreme metal and its fast tempos, more harmonies and progressive elements are introduced while still retaining that "extreme feeling". I was mostly inspired by melodeath bands such as "Arch Enemy" and "In Flames" at the time along with power metal bands such as "Blind Guardian" and "Helloween".

Even though there isn't a strong emphasis and detail with a big overarching plot, there is a loose story and concept. It is also meant to be in the same world as my first album. The earth, while still barren and apocalyptic, has extreme weather phenomenon at each section of the globe. One is a scorching volcano, another is a frozen water tundra, another is a barren, grey wasteland, and the last one is a green and beautiful grassland where the last remaining survivors can thrive in luxury.

Note: "Moonshield / The Jester's Dance" and "Lethe" are both covers performed by In Flames and Dark Tranquility respectively.
